In a year where everything will inevitably be looking a little different, The Fellowship for British Hairdressing’s annual Luncheon and Awards still promises to be a feel-good celebration of all that’s great about hairdressing.
After a year of dynamic, interactive live content, An Evening with the Fellowship will bring together elements of other broadcasts, with a little additional festive sparkle and fun.
“This year has been all about coming together as a community online, so what better way to round off our year than getting together digitally one last time for a final celebration – and to say farewell to 2020,” says Fellowship Chancellor, Ashleigh Hodges. “We really want to acknowledge the creativity and hard work from our members during such an unprecedented year. This year, some new awards join our existing categories. The Lockdown Look and exciting new President’s Award will sit alongside our long-established classics, including the esteemed Fellowship Hairdresser of the Year.”
An Evening with the Fellowship will take place at 6pm on Sunday 13th December, and will be broadcast live across Facebook and the Fellowship’s own website. Hosted by Fellowship President Ken Picton and featuring a star-studded galaxy of special industry guests, the celebration will be a roundup of 2020: the good, the bad and the unexpected!
The livestream will also celebrate the talent within the organisation with the presentation of the Fellowship’s Awards, which include: the Salon Awards, the Image Awards, the President’s Award and awards of recognition for members, including the coveted Hairdresser of the Year Award.
Ken says: “It’s been a challenging year to say the least, but it’s been amazing to see everyone come together as a united industry. At the Fellowship, we believe we have created an amazing family and community who have stood together to inspire, motivate and support one another. Although we might not be able to get together in person to celebrate the end of this year and the optimism of 2021, we can’t wait to reunite everyone online for drinks, fun and festivity. We’ll be celebrating our members with our Awards, and reflecting on a year that has been undoubtedly different, but which has proven the strength, optimism and community spirit that makes hairdressing such a wonderful industry to be involved in.”
