Now there is a league of their own for female barbers on the Andis® Company’s Global Education Team, with two new female barbers and a series of new online cutting tutorial videos by Hayden Cassidy.
Many will remember the film A League of Their Own about a winning all-girl baseball team. And Andis® Company is following suit by welcoming 2 new female barbers to the ranks of their Global Education Team. Moreover, another female Andis Company Global Educator, Hayden Cassidy, is debuting a Hair Cutting Tutorial Video Series.
Expanding Andis Company’s Creative Vision
With 44 educators across four continents, the Andis® Company Global Education Team now welcomes educators and barbershop owners, Sabra Clark and Brea Retic.
“I’m thrilled to add such incredible barbering talent to our roster of global educators,” said Angie Perino, Andis® Global Education Manager. “Sabra and Brea are already fantastic advocates for barbering education locally. But, most importantly, they are committed to bettering the next generation of barbers and stylists. It makes no difference where they’re from or what stage in their career.”
Two new recruits!
The six-time award-winning Sabra Clark was born and raised in San Diego and owns Straight to the Cut Barbershop. She is a barbershop owner as well as the founder of the SoCal Lady Barber Expo. She was also the Lead Barber Educator for Bellus Academy from 2021-2022. One of her goals is to start a non-profit organization to empower women and femme people in the barber industry. She believes it is important to create a safe space for all to feel beautiful while developing hair and craft. As part of the Andis® Company team, Clark will be able to share her mission with a global audience.
Brea Retic made a drastic career change in 2009 when she moved to Atlanta to attend barbering school. She soon realized that barbering was the perfect field to enjoy flexibility, family time, and a better quality of life. Today she is the owner of the Brea J Cuts Studio and part of the SalonCentric It Takes a Pro Team. Another interest she shares with Andis® Company is a passion for helping others. Indeed, Brea is a volunteer for A Different Cut. This association helps barbers style young adults, and children on the autism spectrum. A Different Cut offers as much peace of mind to barbers as it does to their clients. Retic also makes sure to offer her skills and knowledge as a resource to others in the barbering industry.
12 STEP-BY-STEP TUTORIALS
