The Fellowship ClubStar Mentoring Programme continues and the Art Team definitely has an exciting year ahead of them.
There will be ClubStar Mentoring Days with some of the biggest names in hairdressing. To kickstart their year, the team of seven spent the day with their team leader, session stylist Karoliina Saunders. This took place at her studio space in Wiltshire. It was the first time the team came together to share their stories and aspirations.
The main part of the day was to get an insight into the session world; it was time for them to get creative practising braiding, ponytails and creative session work.
James Farrar from TONI&GUY said: “We went over all the foundations of session styling, and it gave us an insight of how easy-looking styles can actually be quite technical. We also looked at how to overcome styling challenges and unexpected issues.” Josh Easter from VAE Hair, added: “I learnt so much from the session with Karoliina and getting to know the rest of the team. It was lovely to get to know everyone’s backgrounds and what their strengths are. In the session, I learnt lots of quick tips that will help me on session work and how to braid tightly to the scalp using a comb. These skills I will definitely be taking back to the salon and shoots.”
