Freak Out by Pierre Ginsburg for Revlon Professional

In the midst of  what has become an often dismal present, it’s easier than ever to feel nostalgic about past eras, when even complex and turbulent times seemed easier. This is how Freak Out by Pierre Ginsburg was born.

A collection inspired by New York in the 80s

New York, 1977. Steve Rubell, a lawyer by training, and Ian Schrager, decide to open a club: Studio 54. Located at 273 West 54th Street, in the heart of Manhattan. This cove soon became an iconic hot spot of the 80s jet set, welcoming and entertaining night owls and Big Apple glitterati.
Paparazzi immortalized such personalities as Jerry Hall, Andy Warhol, Bianca Jagger or Elton John and Elizabeth Taylor. Everyone rushed there to live frenzied evenings and cut loose during seemingly endless nights of debauchery.”*

It is this auspicious and malicious era, exuberant and free personalities were the norm that inspired Freak Out by Pierre Ginsburg, a jubilant and liberating collection that celebrates nightlife – and the desire to get it back – in this unprecedented period of global pandemic.
