
The International Hairdressing Awards® have finally revealed the format in which their seven trophies will be awarded in this edition, given the impossibility of holding an international face-to-face event due to the global health crisis.
“For us, in such a difficult year, receiving an award cannot be limited to an online communication. We deserve excitement, we deserve to be able to touch it. For this reason, the 2021 International Hairdressing Awards are going to be an adventure,” explained Mikel Luzea, director and founder of the IHA.
From March 16 to 23, Mikel Luzea and Sergi Bancells, global ambassador of the awards, will travel around the world together with a recording team to hand-deliver the awards to the winners, by surprise and with live broadcasting through Internet. “The three finalists in each category will have the indication to be in their hairdressing salon in a specific time slot. No one will know which city we are in”, added Mikel.

In addition to being broadcast live at the time of delivery, a docu-reality for television platforms will be held later with all the material obtained from this round the world tour in seven awards.
