Hair stylist Lorenzo Martin and Wella Professionals are obviously a dream team for any fashionista, and even Jennifer Lopez is no exception. Over-the-top looks are required for this over-the-top event, and all those participating vye for the attention of photographers.

For this coif, Lorenzo Martin drew his inspiration from Ralph Lauren, coming up with a very Americana vibe reminiscent of the American Wild, Wild West. And obviously Wella Professionals provided the tools that made his vision come to life. He shared his process with us.

HOW TO GET THE LOOK

1 – Wash hair with Wella Nutricurls Shampoo and Conditioner. Then apply Wella EIMI Lightweight Beauty Balm Lotion throughout the ends. Add Wella EIMI Flexible volumizing Spray at the roots.

2 – Comb out hair with the GHD Detangling Comb. Then blow dry with the GHD Helios Professional Hair Dryer and GHD Ceramic Vented Round Brush in 4.

3 – In order to create the long pony, add Great Lengths 20” Tape ins. Teasing the hair with GHD Tail Comb at the roots before clipping in will provide extra hold. For JLo we mixed BR03 , RT67, BR08 and BR06 for a custom blend.

4 – Then, to give it the wild, wild theme, curl hair with the GHD Curve Soft Curl Iron.  

5 – For more texture, mix Wella EIMI Dry Me Shampoo along with the Wella Shape Shift Molding Gum with Shine Finish. Secure hair into a tight pony. Lastly, mist with Wella EIMI Glam Mist to complete the look! 

Wella Professionals and Lorenzo Martin nailed JLo’s sultry yet elegant look for the MET Gala like few could! The color, pumped up volume, and added lengths to her hair perfectly balanced out the richness of her fabulous gown.
