En Route Hair & Beauty in Wakefield has been certified as a Mindful Salon, supporting its team’s professional and personal development, as well as building on its reputation of delivering excellent customer care.
The Mindful Salon certification is a CPD accredited mindset course, issued by Salon Jedi. It gives salon professionals the tools they need to better understand their own and other’s behaviour, and how the right mindset enables them to achieve their goals and aspirations.
“Our team’s mental health and wellbeing is something we take seriously,” says Melenie Tudor, owner of En Route Hair & Beauty. “Without our team firing on all cylinders, we couldn’t deliver the high quality experience that we do. Undertaking the Mindful Salon certification is our way of giving our team the time and space to think about what they want from their career, enhancing skills to make them intuitive stylists and create the right mindset for productivity and job fulfilment.
“Our clients are also benefiting,” continues Melenie. “It will support our approach to customer care. It will also demonstrate that our team is working hard to create enjoyable and memorable experiences for our customers.”
The whole En Route team took part in the online learning course. To make sure everyone could complete the training together and to give stylists the space to really focus, the salon closed for the day.
The Mindful Salon certification builds on En Route’s reputation for creating a caring, dynamic and enjoyable place to work. Most recently the salon received the accolade of Salon Team of the Year at the Salon Business Awards 2023.
