Founded in 2006 by renowned celebrity hairdresser Trevor Sorbie MBE, mynewhair has raised an incredible £2,100 through hosting a charity dog walk.

Around 100 people attended the Walkies event on Saturday 15th April at GAFIRS Stokes Bay Beach, where they took part in a dog walk along the shoreline of Stokes Bay followed by an afternoon of activities at The Alverbank Hotel.
The event welcomed dog lovers from right across the region and raised over £2,000 for mynewhair, a charity which supports people living with medical-related hair loss through its nationwide network of Salons that Care and world renowned animal welfare charity, Battersea.
Guests enjoyed a mile long walk along Stoke Bay Beach as well as dog competitions, doggie stalls followed by a barbecue and live music at The Alverbank Hotel.
Prior to the event, Trevor’s wife Carole Sorbie raised £1,800 in raffle prizes which were up for grabs on the day, this included £150 worth of luxury L’Oréal Professionnel haircare products, £700 cut and colour at Angelo Seminara hair salon in Knightsbridge and a four-ball golf voucher for Cams Golf Club in Portchester.
Trevor set up mynewhair nearly 20 years ago in memory of his sister-in-law, Jackie, who lost her hair while undergoing chemotherapy for bone cancer. The charity has now trained hundreds of hair professionals around the country to provide a wig cutting and advice service to those suffering from medical hair loss.
Trevor said: “I would like to say a massive thank you to those who joined us and helped raise £2,000 for both mynewhair and Battersea. We had such a fantastic day and it’s great to see so many people come and support two fantastic charities that are very close to my heart.”
