O&M Project Sukuroi Gold Smoothing Balm, £35.50

Inspired by Kintsukuroi, a Japanese word describing the art of repairing broken pottery with gold or silver lacquer, Project Sukuroi is the art of smoothing and repairing hair with O&M’s stargold balm.

Gold of Pleasure Oil is the hero ingredient in Project Sukuroi. Originating from the Camelina plant, it offers deep hydration and reparative benefits. Cold pressed Camelina Sativa Oil has a high content of alpha-linolenic acid and a combination of omega-6 and omega-9 oleic acids. An ancient oleaginous (oil-bearing) plant from the Cruciferae family, which has been domesticated and extensively used in Europe for several thousand years, the seed oil contains an exceptional amount (up to 45 per cent) of omega-3 fatty acids, as well as a unique antioxidant complex making the oil very stable.

O&M Signature Oil Blend is a natural blend of organic coconut and macadamia oils that help to recondition the hair to protect it and leave it glossy and knot free.

Hydrolised Vegetable Protein This vegan alternative to natural keratin is made from a blend of Rice and Soy proteins with amino acids to provide advanced protection, reduce hair surface damage for long-lasting strong hair, restructure and repair the hair’s cuticle scales. It reduces split ends by strengthening, rebuilding and smoothing the hair.

HOW TO USE

As a Blow Dry Balm: Apply to partially dried hair before your blowout for a perfect, frizz-free finish. Sukuroi will leave a gorgeous, natural glimmer to the hair and have it feeling silky soft.

As an Anti-Frizz Cream: Finish any style and get rid of fly aways, while repairing and protecting compromised hair. Just a little bit of this precious balm will go a long way to eliminate frizz and add softness.

As a Flat Iron Treatment: For the ultimate hair repair results, infuse the hair with glorious gold and restorative keratin with your flat iron. This method is best for damaged, unruly strands and will have the greatest effect on the health of the hair.

Original & Mineral is an Australian salon professional brand founded by Jose Bryce Smith, who opened the first ammonia-free salon in Australia 20 years ago with her then partner, a hairdresser who suffered with contact dermatitis. Their vision was to bring nature and luxury together in a line of hair colour, care and styling products that are safe, effective and beautiful to use. The formulations replace harsh chemicals with active natural extracts and minerais, including native Australian ingredients like Lilly Pilly, Banksia Flower, Quandong, Tasmanian Sea Kelp and Davidson Plum, as well as quality essential oils that deliver real benefits.
