Outlaw Collection by Hans Beers & Soma Rohimi

People need freedom. People want to be different. The Outlaw Collection reflects on the past – that we would have perceived this term as a punishment , but now we prefer to listen to our own feelings and not care about the rules.

The AW21 hair trends are inspired by the cutting and colouring techniques of Vidal Sassoon, but always with a modern twist. As reflected in the Outlaw Collection, colours are not bright, but tend to be more pastel, without losing their brightness and strength.

Hairstyles are becoming increasingly gender-neutral, the cutting techniques are tailored to this. Shaved hair, for example, is now widespread among savvy street-wise women.

Partly because of lockdowns and closed hair salons, people were forced to cut their own hair. And when it got difficult, the hair clipper came into play. This fact had a not insignificant influence on the hair trends coming up in 2022. Women are becoming more and more equal to men. This has been a process that has been going on for many years and has achieved a lot. However, there is still inequality. Women emancipate themselves with strong lines and clear hair colours. We find that women are proud to be women and will always propagate this, despite the gender neutral trend.

Soma Rahimi

Soma was born in Kabul and has lived in the Netherlands since she was 8 years old. She is a passionate master stylist. She has experience in professional hair education and training and is very familiar with the Sassoon technology and philosophy.

People need freedom. People want to be different. Outlaw means “outlaw”. While in the past one would have perceived this term as a punishment because one wanted to belong, now one prefers to listen to one’s own feelings and not care about the rules. The motto is in line with the hairstyle trends in 2022.

In the OUTLAW collection we see a lot of texture and different bright, distinctive colours. The latter gives a striking effect and supports the cut hairstyle.
