Patrick Cameron Celebrates Old Hollywood

Back in March, long hair maestro Patrick Cameron, who is used to travelling the world gracing the stages of international exhibitions and taking his education to a global audience, took to the screens of his Instagram, Facebook and You Tube channels to educate and motivate us in and out of lockdown.

New content is added weekly to this vast library of tutorials but this week as we approach a second lockdown and as a special thank you to subscribers, Patrick has created a new collection, Old Hollywood , a celebration of hairstyles from a bygone era that has inspired Patrick over the years.

Not only does Patrick showcase the looks made famous by Hollywood stars including Joan Crawford, Audrey Hepburn and Betty Grable, he also tells the story of how the way they wore their hair became instrumental in creating the hair fashion of their era.

“We recognise Old Hollywood as an influential piece of history that has defined what we consider to be glamorous,” explains Patrick. “The “Hollywood Look” shaped global fashion and contributed greatly to the formation of the unique identity of the period. This is how we can identify changes in trends across the 1930s, ’40s, ’50s and ’60s. There are specific hairstyles we associate with individual movie stars and this legacy is still hugely influential in fashion today on both catwalk and editorial looks. This is my interpretation of some of my favourite iconic styles of the “Golden Age” of Hollywood”.

Old Hollywood is available exclusively to all subscribers of Access All Areas. For more information CLICK HERE
