Tommy’s Hair Company are delighted to announce the reopening of their Ruthin salon; following the devastation of the severe flooding back in January 2021.
Tommy’s Hair Company in Ruthin, has been open for 16 years. Dutch owners Tommy and Esther van Der Veken opened the salon in 2005. The salon has built up a longstanding and loyal clientele. It is famous for its exceptional hairdressing skills and high standards of customer service.
In January, Tommy’s along with many other neighbouring businesses experienced a trail of destruction. This followed flash flooding throughout the town centre, leaving Tommy’s Hair Company under a large amount of water. Once assessed, Esther and Tommy took the decision to fully renovate the salon. They took the interior back to the bare brick and completely rebuilt it.
The Salon has gone under an extensive refurbishment and the team will reopen the doors on Tuesday 15th June 2021. The team is bursting with excitement and ready to get back to the salon.
Esther explains, “After a long lockdown and many salon closures following the global pandemic, the destruction from flash flooding of Tommy’s Hair Company was awful. Along with many other local businesses we had to start from the beginning and rebuild. We have worked so closely with our team of tradesman and insurance and cannot wait to show off and introduce everyone to our new interior – it’s been a long time coming!”
