Wella Professionals recently hosted an exclusive gathering for its Wella RED members, in the heart of Paris at the stunning Musée des Arts Décoratifs. Wella RED is an exclusive business partnership programme, that focuses on community, education and rewards, and this occasion ticked all the boxes as the group gathered in Paris to celebrate the Des Cheveux et des poils exhibition.
The incredible exhibition explores the relationship between the body and fashion with an exhibition on hair styles and body hair grooming. Des Cheveux et des poils (Hair & Hairs) demonstrates how hairstyles and the grooming of human hair have contributed to the construction of appearances for centuries. The exhibition explores 600 works, from the 15th century to the present day, the themes inherent in the history of hairstyles, but also the questions related to facial and bodily hair.
With its heritage spanning more than 140 years, this was a natural project for Wella to be part of, and the Wella Company has proudly hosted guests from all over the world to showcase this eclectic display.
Upon arrival, RED guests were greeted by Wella’s Global Creative Artist, Alexis Ferrer, who hosted an exclusive guided tour. As well as a tour of the exhibition, RED members were treated to three dynamic hair shows by Wella global artists Ivan Arniaud and Alessandro Squarza & Marco Firriolo. UK & Ireland Colour & Trends Ambassador, Jordanna Cobella, also took to the stage with her masterpiece hair show, ‘Alter-Ego’.
The soiree was attended by RED guests from the UK and Ireland, along with the UK & Ireland General Manager, Max Amen, and Head of Education Craft & Community, UK & Ireland, Allison Hargreaves. “It was truly wonderful to be in the fashion capital of the world, with some of our exclusive RED members, celebrating our heritage. RED is a completely unique programme that unites, inspires and educates our community. This entire event has been spectacular, as has the hair shows by our Wella artists, which all culminated in a truly memorable event for everyone,” said Allison.
Wella RED membership presents unique once-in-a-lifetime experiences, and on this occasion the rewards were even greater as UK & Ireland guests enjoyed an exclusive programme of activities. This included a champagne lunch in a rooftop restaurant overlooking Paris, and an executive sightseeing tour in a dining coach with a 5-course meal. The incredible Parisian event was an opportunity for guests to combine business with pleasure, whilst soaking up the inspiration from this unique exhibition.
Des Cheveux et des poils (Hair & Hairs) exhibition, runs from April 5 to September 17, 2023.
